He walked the dirty streets famous for nothing
He said, "Come follow me" and they came
A face like all the rest, but something was different
The Son of God would lead the way
And soon they all would say
There He goes, a hero, a savior to the world
Here He stands with scars in His hands
With love He gave His life so we could be free
The savior of the world
He spoke with clarity, walked across the sea
A single word would calm the storm
His touch could heal the sick, but
He was called a hypocrite
Laid behind the stone, his death was shortly mourned
He left the curtain torn
There He goes, a hero, a savior to the world
Here He stands with scars in His hands
With love He gave His life so we could be free
The savior of the world
He chose to take the cross, shed tears for the lost
The broken and the needy, forgiving those who were and will be
The angel made it clear, he told them,
"Have no fear He's not here, He's not here"
I love, I love, I love, I love the way you hold me
I love, I love, I love, I love the way you hold me
I love, I love, I love, I love the way you hold me
I love, I love, I love, I love the way you, the way you
I've had a long day, I just wanna relax
Don't have time for my friends, no time to chit chat
Problems at my job, wonderin' what to do
I know I should be working but I'm thinking of you and
Just when I feel this crazy world is gonna bring me down
That's when your smile comes around
Oh, I love the way you hold me, by my side you'll always be
You take each and every day, make it special in some way
I love the way you hold me, in your arms I'll always be
You take each and every day, make it special in some way
I love you more than the words in my brain can express
I can't imagine even loving you less
Lord, I love the way you hold me
Whoa, oh, I love the way you hold me
Whoa, oh
Well ya, took my day and you flipped it around
Calmed the tidal wave and put my feet on the ground
Forever in my heart, always on my mind
It's crazy how I think about you all of the time
And just when I think I'm 'bout to figure you out
You make me wanna sing and shout
I love the way you hold me, by my side you'll always be
You take each and every day, make it special in some way
I love the way you hold me, in your arms I'll always be
You take each and every day, make it special in some way
I love you more than the words in my brain can express
I can't imagine even loving you less
Lord, I love the way you hold me
Whoa, oh, I love the way you hold me
Whoa, oh
I'm so grateful and thankful for all you've done
Wish I could tell you in a short story or poem
But all I have is my voice and this guitar
And you have my heart
Oh, I love the way you hold me, by my side you'll always be
You take each and every day, make it special in some way
I love the way you hold me, in your arms I'll always be
You take each and every day, every day, every
I love the way you hold me, by my side you'll always be
You take each and every day oh-so-special
I love the way you hold me, in your arms I'll always be
You take each and every day, make it special in some way
I love you more than the words in my brain can express
I can't imagine even loving you less
Lord, I love the way you hold me
Whoa, oh, I love the way you hold me
Whoa, oh
Oh, I love
I love, I love, I love, I love the way you hold me
I love, I love, I love, I love the way you hold me
I love, I love, I love, I love the way you hold me, hold me, hold me

My Thrifty Finds
I scored BIG time at a resale shop by me and at Goodwill. I'm on the hunt for plates so that when we move out of our condo and into a house I can be all set for my "wall of plates"!
I've also had a little craft that I have been wanting to do with some cutesy girly plates.
Add a candle stick, glass, or vase & some hot glue to a plate and you instantly have an adorable chic cake plate or dessert plate.
You cannot go wrong when you can buy plates and glassware anywhere from $ .49 - $ .99!
Then I also got a frame that I plan to spray paint. I am on the lookout for frames. I scored one for $ .99 today at Goodwill. I am planning my girls rooms for when we eventually move into a house. When I have a vision I must pursue it. One can never be too thrifty or too planned out when it comes to decorating. You can save SO much money that way. And it helps to have a style that is very eclectic, romantic, shabby chic. Score one for me!
I got 2 of these adorable vases for my girls' room. Like I said, I have a plan for their room. This vase describes-it-all!
I have begun my Goodwill plate collection for that wall of plates too.

Patience in an On Demand World
I. Hate. Waiting.
I. Lack. Patience.
I want what I want and I want it now.
I think most of us are this way and I am unfortunately not alone or abnormal in this case.
I long for contentment. Contentment in all things. I long to be content with what I have at the time I have it. To see joy in all things and know that as long as I am obeying God and serving Him, I have all I need. And if there is more that I need, God will provide it.
If they obey and serve him, they will spend the rest of their days in prosperity and their years in contentment. -Job 36:11
But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. -1 Timothy 6:6-7
I seem to always want more. And I seem to want what I don't have. I long for "This" then when I get it, I long for "That".
In this day an age we are living in an instant gratification world. DVR, DVD's, Ipods, internet...We have so many ways to instantly grab what we want.
I think this can be dangerous too, because we are getting further and further away from learning how to wait.
As we get further away from learning how to wait we in essence are teaching our kids impatience. We don't need to wait. If we want it we can grab it.
It's not how God designed us though.
I love Modern Technology, don't get me wrong. I love it. But I also love a feeling of satisfaction.
We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. -Hebrews 6:11-12
Faith & Patience.
Faith to Know God provides all of my needs.
Patience to wait and know that God's timing is best.
I long for patience & contentment in this On Demand world.
How about you?

Prepare to Be Stoned (The Art of Vulnerability)
****Today you can find me at Twirl Ministries!
Prepare to Be Stoned
(The Art of Vulnerability)
With a title like this it’s no wonder most of us are afraid of vulnerability. But what is it about being "fake" that is more appealing? Are we afraid to be who we really are for fear we will be judged and have to deal with the scowl of man?
Do we even know who we really are? Or is it that we are surrounded by people with opinions so "high & mighty" it causes the unfortunate disease of "worrying what people think"?
Do you ever feel like no matter what you do or how you do it, how you look, etc. that you are never going to be good enough? Or no matter what you say it continues to be picked apart or switched around?
Some people in this world are going to be hard to please no matter what we say or do. No matter how we look.
One thing I know is we live to please God, NOT man. Galatians 1:10- “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ”. If we are doing what we know God wants us to do, if we are where He wants us to be, if we are who He has made us then IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT PEOPLE THINK OR SAY ABOUT US THAT DETERMINES WHO WE ARE. IT’S WHO GOD IS AND WHO HE SAYS WE ARE!
Matthew 7:2- “For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you”.
Are the people in your life who are hard to please, in your shoes? Do they live your life? Do they know what it is like to be YOU, wholly & uniquely you; the way God has created you?
Do we know what it’s like to walk in the shoes of those we criticize as though we are some sort of expert on the life they live?
Some of us would be far less insecure, if we could be far less judgmental. We tend to judge others based on our own perceptions. Well our perception isn’t reality.
God has created each of us to be different. He has called us to be different. Different from the world and different from each other. Romans 12:2 –“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is -- his good, pleasing and perfect will”. We are different & unique, yet ALL equal. Psalm 139:14- “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well”.
Let’s aim to treat everyone with love and respect NO matter how they treat us.
Be you, step out in vulnerability. Be bold and be confident because God says YOU are beautiful. God says YOU are loved.
No matter what stones get thrown, be YOU.
The more kind hearted and REAL we are, the more confident we will feel. The more vulnerable we allow ourselves to be the more God can use us for HIS glory.
Psalm 56:11- “In God I trust and am not afraid. What can man do to me?”
Live free! Live loved by our all-knowing God who loves each of us no matter what!

2 Must Haves
As we are nearing good ole Flu/sick season I wanted to share a few MUST HAVE'S! The first was given to my by a friend in MN and it works beyond amazing!! It's activated charcoal capsules.
I've bought mine at Walgreens for around $20. Soon as you feel nauseous, take 3! If family members are throwing up, take them as a preventative. Seriously wonderful! There are many other uses for it as well.
The other thing to have on hand which was also recommended to me by another friend a few years ago is Emergen-C. Just a great vitamin to add to your water and take daily! You can sign up for free samples here.
